Agnes Watkinson is a trailblazing force in AEC People & Culture. As the Founder and Principal Consultant at AMC Services and President of the not-for-profit NextGen Women, Agnes spearheads impactful initiatives to propel careers forward in the AEC industry. A seasoned Workforce Innovation Leader and Consultant, she aligns organizational goals, revolutionizes recruitment, and champions long-term staff development. Agnes’ 14 years as a business leader working for Canadian and U.S. AEC organizations have equipped her with visionary leadership to help transform the industry’s workforce landscape, foster diversity, and create modern people practices. With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an aptitude for business strategy and operations, Agnes is a guest speaker for construction programs and affiliations across Canada. She is also the Founder and President of NextGen Women, a NFP aimed at elevating women and youth careers in construction through career programming.
Leslie, the Director of Organizational Development, holds an MBA in Change Management, a degree in Political Science, and a Sustainable Cities Specialization from Johns Hopkins. She holds significant roles such as the Chair of Women Driving Diversity for the Conestoga Heavy Construction Association and Communications Manager for Women of Asphalt Canada. With over 17 years of experience, Leslie has been committed to promoting safety and inclusivity, driven by a personal mission following a tragic workplace accident involving her brother. Her career spans various roles from laborer to executive leadership, overseeing major projects including those for Amazon and renewable energy initiatives.She is actively involved in shaping health and safety policies and participates in multiple construction associations across Canada. She is also LEED AP+ and NCSO certified.
