Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information AMC Services collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. We have written it in plain language on purpose.

Effective date: January 2026  ·  Last updated: January 2026  ·  Applies to: amc-services.ca, our quizzes, our downloadable publications and our email communications.

The short version

  • We collect your details when you give them to us. That includes booking a call, filling in a form, taking one of our quizzes, and downloading one of our publications, such as the Digital Dexterity Playbook or the Case Study Playbook.
  • We also collect basic information about how the site is used, the way most websites do.
  • We use it to reply to you, to send you what you asked for, and to send you educational material about organizational health, leadership and digital change.
  • We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time, from any email, in one click.
  • Client engagement data is held to a stricter standard. Findings belong to the client, and nothing from an engagement is published without written permission.

The rest of this page is the detail. If you would rather ask a person, email info@amc-services.ca.

1

Who we are

AMC Services is an organizational development firm based in Ottawa, Ontario, working with clients in Canada and internationally. In this policy, “AMC”, “we” and “us” mean AMC Services. “You” means anyone who visits our website, contacts us, takes one of our quizzes, downloads one of our publications, or receives our email.

We are responsible for the personal information under our control. We handle it in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and our email practices follow Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

2

What we collect, and when

WhenWhat we collectWhy
You browse the website Pages visited, clicks and scrolling, device and browser type, approximate location, and the site that referred you. To understand which pages are useful and to fix what isn't.
You fill in a form
A pricing enquiry, a playbook request, booking a call
Name, work email, company, job title, phone number if you give it, and anything you write in the message field. To reply to you, prepare for the conversation, and keep a record of it in our internal CRM.
You take a quiz
The Preparedness Quiz, “Which assessment do I need?”
Your name and work email, your answers, and the result the quiz produces. To send you your result, and to understand what the people visiting us are dealing with.
You download a publication Name, work email, and usually company and job title. To deliver the file, and to send you further material on the same subject.
You become a client Contract and billing details, engagement correspondence, and assessment data. Section 6 covers this separately. To do the work you have engaged us to do.

About our free material: our playbooks, case studies and quizzes are free, but they are not anonymous. When you request one, we keep your details, record what you asked for, and send you related educational material afterwards. You can end that at any time by unsubscribing.

3

Email, and how consent works

We email you only when CASL allows it:

  • You gave express consent, by ticking a box asking for our material or by subscribing. We keep a record of when and how.
  • You asked us for something. Requesting a playbook, taking a quiz or making an enquiry creates implied consent for six months.
  • You are a client, or recently were. That creates implied consent for two years from our last transaction.

Expect educational material at a modest frequency: research and articles, new publications, and notice of events and speaking. Some of it mentions our services. Every email identifies AMC Services and has a one-click unsubscribe link. We act on requests within 10 business days, usually right away, and keep your address on a suppression list so a later form does not add you back.

4

We do not sell your information

AMC Services does not sell, rent, trade or licence your personal information to anyone, for any purpose. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers or list vendors.

5

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of services to run the business. They handle personal information on our instructions and only for the purpose we use them for.

Some of these providers store data outside Canada, mainly in the United States. While it is there, it is subject to that country's laws. Beyond these providers, we disclose personal information only to our professional advisers under confidentiality, where the law requires it, or to a buyer if AMC is ever sold, in which case this policy continues to apply.

6

Client engagement data

When we run an assessment inside a client organization, the client decides what is collected and why; AMC processes it on their behalf under a written agreement.

  • Individual responses are confidential. They are reported to the client in aggregate, and interview content is never attributed to a named person.
  • Findings go to the client, and nowhere else.
  • Nothing is published without written permission. Where we share engagement outcomes, we anonymise them to sector and headcount.

If you were asked to complete an assessment by your employer, speak to them first, since they set the scope. You can also contact us and we will help.

7

How long we keep it, and how we protect it

We keep personal information only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires. Marketing contacts stay until you unsubscribe; client records are kept as long as tax, insurance and professional obligations require. After that, we delete the information or anonymise it.

We use encrypted connections, limit access to the people who need it, and use multi-factor authentication on the systems that hold personal information. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will tell the people affected and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as PIPEDA requires.

Cookies

The site uses Microsoft Clarity, which sets cookies to understand how visitors use our pages. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

9

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, and give you a copy.
  • Correct it if it is wrong.
  • Stop using it, including unsubscribing from our email at any time.
  • Delete it, where we are not required to keep it.
